EMMYs 2012 Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series Dream Nominations and Winner

Now that the most prestigious awards night for primetime television is near, let me share to you the six lead actors who I think will (and hope) to be nominated for the  Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama   Series category. And of course, I'll include who I think must win the said award.

This one is a close call. You basically know who will win anyway. It's just a fight of who will be nominated.

You ready?

Here we go...

Bryan Cranston, BREAKING BAD (AMC)

Somewhere out there, Bryan Cranston is already preparing his thank-you speech when he wins the award for the fourth time. Mr. White is one of the most engaging characters I've ever watched on Television, and his portrayer - Cranston - is the one to be applaud to.
He will win this award. Period.
Unless some weird voodoo happens.

Jon Hamm, MAD MEN (AMC)

Don Draper always gets what he wants... except the Emmys. Jon Hamm has been on the nominees list ever since Mad Men started, but he had never won. Well, his show - Mad Men - wins every year as the Most Outstanding Drama Series anyway. Jon Hamm plays Draper so well that he makes me want to smoke a lot and cheat on my girlfriend.

Steve Buscemi, BOARDWALK EMPIRE (HBO)

The Emmy people loves Steve Buscemi so much. That's it.
In my opinion, he deserves to be nominated... but he will not win. Boardwalk Empire is not The Sopranos.

Damian Lewis, HOMELAND (Showtime)

Damian Lewis is such a surprise to the whole television universe because of his phenomenal performance as Brody in Homeland. I can actually say that he's Bryan Cranston's main competitor in this category.

Hugh Laurie, HOUSE (Fox)

Hugh Laurie had been nominated in this category for 6 times already. Now that House is finally over, when will he have a chance to win an Emmy? I want Hugh Laurie to win this award so bad, but Cranston and Lewis are very very difficult to beat.

Charlie Hunnam, SONS OF ANARCHY (AMC)

I don't know why I put him on my list, but Hunnam's performance in this season of Sons of Anarchy was such a surprise. I know he's not going to win (or even be nominated), but Charlie proved that he's an amazing and versatile actor.

End of list.

And the Emmy goes to...... BRYAN CRANSTON.
No doubt about it. Although Damian Lewis deserves it too, Cranston's acting skills was very much exposed on Breaking Bad's fourth season.

___________

I just want to add that it pains me not to put Michael C. Hall in my Dream Nominees List.

We have to admit the fact that DEXTER's sixth season was not good. That's why Michael's performance was also dragged down by his show. Sucks, but true.
PS. He's basically nominated every year for his role as Dexter Morgan.

Another actor that is so close to being on my list is Jason Isaacs.

He was excellent in Awake's first season, unfortunately, his show was cancelled by stupid NBC. I'm not sure if the Emmys will nominate someone from a show which has been cancelled.
