The people of Storybrooke gets two more regular characters!
One Upon A Time recently announced that Emilie de Ravin and Meghan Ory are promoted as series regulars.
Emilie de Ravin plays Belle and we last saw her together with her love interest - Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold - as they bring magic to Storybrooke.
On the other hand, Meghan Ory plays the hot waitress of Grandma's Diner and the fairy tale world's Red Riding Hood who alter egos as the big bad wolf.
First of all, I was really surprised to find out that Megahn is not a series regular in the first place. She appeared in a lot of episodes on OUAT's first season, and even got one major episode arc. Although she appeared sometimes for a couple of minutes (in the finale, she was shown for only 5 seconds), I still didn't know that she was just cast as a recurring actress. Anyway, I'm really happy about this news. She deserves it and I can't wait to see more of her next season, probably a longer and better story arc! And now that magic is in Storybrooke, will her "wolf side" appear more often?
De Ravin's pilot - Americana - was not picked up by ABC for a full season that's why the producers of Once Upon A Time promoted her as a series regular. She was only supposed to recur next season, but now that she's pretty much jobless again, we can expect more Bell storylines! I'm also really happy that Emilie's pilot became unsuccessful. I want more Belle-Rumplestiltskin and I know she can offer more if given more time.
Over all, an amazing (and magical) news! The two actresses are some of the fan-favourites and we all want to see more of them, right?
