This is not a courtroom

In a homage to Law & Order, the study group investigate a crime when someone sabotages their science experiment. When they discover the perp, Annie plans on prosecuting them to the fullest extent of Greendale's Code of Conduct.
Community has done it again! The NBC sitcom, which is currently in the bubble,  had another pop culture parody centered episode - in this case, Law and Order. "Basic Lupine and Urology" is just like the previous episodes of Community such "Modern Warfare" and "Pillows and Blankets" wherein the entire episode mocks another show or referenced some well known movies.

I am not a huge fan of Law and Order so I am not quite particular with the concept of the said legal drama, but boy, Community nailed it. The episode was hilarious.

There are also some funny moments and one liners from the characters, like Britta thinking that Psychology can help solve the "crime", Pierce's duh duhy, the courtroom in the Biology classroom, and Abed and Troy as Good Cop/Bad Cop. Also, the modified opening theme which I guess is the same as LaO's was amazing.

My favorite line was: You may proceed, Ms. Edison. But do so with caution. Need I remind you: this is NOT a courtroom!

Overall, the episode was perfect and excellent. The writers and the creator's ability to continually surprise the audience with their bizarre storylines and hilarious jokes, yet still offering a romanticize and dramatic character development and relentless relationship growth among the characters is outstanding. Bravo to all of you!

"Basic Lupine and Urology" ended with a horrible and sad call: Starburns died.

  1. Great blog Mark! I’ve bookmarked it for later so I can come back every week and view your thoughts on the show, and I agree, this week’s episode of Community was amazing. There’s not a show on TV right now that can do such spot on parodies as perfectly as Harmon and Company can, while still managing to fit in character development and their own distinct brand of humor. There are a couple Community fans I work with here at Dish, and every Friday we get together on lunch to re-watch the previous night’s new episode using dishonline.com, which I can just pull up on my iPad. I’m looking forward to everyone’s reaction to the death of Star Burn, and of course, four our fans of “The Wire”, Michael K Williams’s line… “A man’s got to have a code.”
