A Wedding of Sparkles

The seventh season of CBS' hit sitcom How I Met Your Mother has finally concluded. After a long year with a lot - and I mean a lot - of breaks and hiatuses, the show finally revealed Barney Stinson's bride. The wedding has been shown since the premiere of season 6 (a flash forward to the future), but by the finale of the said season, it was revealed that it's Barney's wedding (not Ted's). And during the season 7 premiere, we saw Barney having doubts whether he chose the right "tie" over the other "tie" (if you can't understand, the "tie" means woman. So "tie 1" is Robin, and "tie 2" is Quinn).

And the bride is......

And on the season's 24th episode, the bride summoned Ted to her room and it is..... ROBIN! According to what I've read, the wedding of Barney and Robin will happen on the finale of season 8, which means that next season will all be about how Robin and Barney got back together. Oh, and of course, Ted's whole mother story.

After a lot of would they-won't they scenarios from the past seasons, the couple WILL officially seal the deal. However, many fans are disappointed with this "surprise". They were expecting Quinn to be the bride, even though they know it's going to be Robin... but, they still have that small hope that Barney marries Quinn. I gotta' admit that Quinn and Barney are cute together. But I'm a big Barney-Robin fan so 'sorry Quinn!'

SO what happened on the season 7 finale?

Liliy gave birth to Marvin Waitforit Erricksen. And yes, that's the coolest middle name EVER. Barrack Waitforit Obama. Oprah Waitforit Winfrey. Ellen Waitforit Degeneres. Awesome and funny middle name! Anyway, the first part of the 2 part episode focuses on Lily and Marshall. The second part, however, focused on the rest of the major casts + Quinn. Barney decided to make up with Quinn, thereafter, the former found out that Quinn has quit stripping. On their way to their trip to Hawaii, a very special magician's box was brought by Barney. The authorities asked him to open it but  he refused because "a magician never reveals his secret". When things came to worse, Barney was forced to open it and when he did - after a lot of magic shenanigan and pure awesomeness - a wedding ring was in it. Barney proposed to Quinn.

Meanwhile in boring land, Ted and Robin finally became friends again after the whole "I love you Robin" thing. Robin said she missed Ted as his friend and they were better that way. Now that one ex-serious girlfriend is down on Ted's list, Robin asked him to call Victoria - his ex girlfriend who he dumped back in season 1. When Ted called Victoria, the two decided to run away together in the sunset. Oh, btw, that's Victoria's wedding day with some Klaus guy. Ted's a douche right?

So... flash forward to the future! And then Robin is the bride!

I read in an interview that the whole Ted-Victoria thing for season 8 is the LAST road Ted has to face before he met that freakin' mother. Which means, he's done with Robin, now he has to face the last person he thinks he has the chance with.

Also, Robin will have a new love interest next season. And this guy will be the person that will make her realize that she's still in love with Barney. Furthermore, the whole process and road to their wedding will be messy, complicated and of course, fun.

As my conclusion, I'm really happy about the bride. Robin-Barney is my most favorite TV couple. Neil Patrick Harris and Cobie Smulders are perfect and have an undeniable chemistry.
