10 Most Promising FALL 2012 series

Before I begin this list of my the most promising new series for Fall 2012, I just have to remind you that midseason shows are not included here. These are the new shows that will air this Fall 2012.

10. Arrow (The CW)

A modern retelling of the story of DC Comics character Green Arrow, with Amell in the lead role. Cassidy plays love interest Laurel Lance, Thompson is Oliver's mother


9. Animal Practice (NBC)

 A single-camera office comedy centered on a House-like veterinarian who loves animals but usually hates their owners.

8. Chicago Fire (NBC)

An action-driven drama exploring the complex and heroic men and women of the Chicago Fire Department.

7. Nashville (ABC)

 A family soap set against the backdrop of the Nashville music scene that follows one star at her peak (Britton) and one on the rise (Panettiere).

6. Elementary (CBS)

 Modern take on the cases of the pipe-smoking private eye with Sherlock (Miller) now living in NYC. Liu plays Watson.

5.  Revolution (NBC)

 A high-octane action drama that follows a group of characters struggling to survive and reunite with loved ones in a world where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist.

4. The New Normal (NBC)

A heartwarming comedy about a blended family of a gay couple and the woman who becomes a surrogate to help them start a family.

3. 666 Park Avenue (ABC)

Based on Alloy's book series by Gabriella Pierce, the show is set at an historic New York City apartment building (owned by marrieds played by O'Quinn and Williams) and centers on a young couple (Annable, Taylor) who become its managers. They unwittingly begin to experience supernatural occurrences, which complicate and endanger the lives of everyone in the residence.


2. Go On (NBC)

When an irreverent yet charming sportscaster tries to move on from loss, he reluctantly finds surprising solace from the members of his mandatory group therapy sessions.


1. The Mindy Project (FOX)

 A Bridget Jones-type OB/GYN (played by Kaling) tries to navigate both her personal and professional lives, surrounded by quirky co-workers in a small office.
