Burning Star (Community 3x18 Course Listings Unavailable Episode Review)

Due to Star Burns' death, the Greendale 7 (our gang) decided to hold a memorial in the cafeteria which turned out to be a disaster. The group study found out that their Biology professor left the campus already so their grades in the said subject is incomplete for the semester, thus, they have to take summer classes. This information enraged the gang, especially Jeff, so he/they decided to retaliate against the school. To stop this ongoing rebellion in the cafeteria, Dean approved Chang's request to take their security up a notch with his little minions. Unfortunately (and obviously), the school committee did not like this madness o they decided to expel all 7 of them. But despite all of this, the Greendale 7 remained intact and happy because they are still together and alive.

To make my review easier, i'll enumerate the things I like/hate about this episode:

1. The seriously must stop belittling Britta. It's funny, but implying that she's stupid every episode is quite annoying.

2. The episode was hilarious. I think it's funny and showed the aftermath of Star Burns' death and how the students of Greendale cope up with it.

3. The Biology professor's departure was quite random and sudden. There weren't any precedents which prepare us for this. But well, this is Community. They can put whatever they want to put in the episode but still work it out.

4. Dean Pelton is the star of the episode.

5. Chang's attempt to overtake the community college was well written. Ken Jeong did an amazing job.

6. I love the last scene where they all sat in Troy and Abed's apartment. Their reaction to what happened to them (being expelled) was surprising, yet fulfilling. All 7 of them are friends and they are happy to be with each other no matter what.

7. I don't like the entire would they-won't they relationship between Troy and Britta. The show already has Jeff and Annie for that, so it's not ok for me to have something like them too. But still, I want Britta and Troy to be together.

Overall, the episode was awesome. The show continuously proves to be worth watching despite lacking the good ratings it deserves.
